OHIO — Five people were arrested following a large-scale drug operation in Findlay led by the FBI and the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force, authorities announced.
According to Findlay police, the coordinated operation took place around 4 p.m. on October 28 and involved multiple agencies, including the FBI Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force, the Hancock County Special Response Team, and the county’s Strategic Mobile Enforcement Team.
Investigators said the effort followed an FBI investigation that had previously resulted in the seizure of multiple kilograms of cocaine. After consulting with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office, authorities carried out three “controlled reverse drug deliveries.”
Agents reportedly identified several alleged buyers in Findlay and arranged controlled transactions at a secure location, where the suspects were taken into custody after taking possession of what they believed to be narcotics.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 3.5 kilograms of cocaine, about $15,000 in cash, three vehicles, and a handgun.
The following individuals were booked into the Hancock County Justice Center on felony drug possession charges:
- Larry Pahl, 57, of Findlay
- Vincent Turner, 34, of Arlington
- Jeffery England, 34, of Findlay
- Trent Deal, 34, of Vanlue
- Kodak Lawrence, 30, of Findlay
Officials said additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
