GEORGIA — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested five individuals earlier this week in connection with alleged drug sales in the Forsyth area.
According to a release from MCSO, the arrests followed an investigation by the department’s Narcotics Unit, which began after multiple complaints were received regarding narcotics activity in and around the city.
Authorities took the suspects into custody on June 9 and 10. Those arrested include Emory Denby, 50; Rex Williams, 69; Fredrick Zellner, 42; Robert Downs, 48; and John Black Smith, 54. All are residents of Monroe County.
Each individual faces charges related to the sale and distribution of methamphetamine and/or cocaine.
They are currently being held at the Monroe County Jail without bond.
