According to a release from MCSO, the arrests followed an investigation by the department’s Narcotics Unit, which began after multiple complaints were received regarding narcotics activity in and around the city.

Authorities took the suspects into custody on June 9 and 10. Those arrested include Emory Denby, 50; Rex Williams, 69; Fredrick Zellner, 42; Robert Downs, 48; and John Black Smith, 54. All are residents of Monroe County.
