CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Fire Department responded to East Technical High School early Saturday morning after fires were intentionally set inside the school’s gymnasium.
Firefighters arrived at the scene on the 2400 block of East 55th Street shortly after 5:45 a.m., where they discovered two fires inside the gym, including one under a basketball hoop.
The fires were quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported.
The Cleveland Fire Department estimates the damage to the gym at around $20,000.
Both fires are under investigation and are believed to be intentional.
