NORTH CAROLINA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 1-year-old girl believed to have been abducted by her father, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.
An emergency alert was issued Wednesday morning for Macie Thompson, who is described as a Black female last seen wearing a Hello Kitty hoodie and a yellow or orange shirt.
Investigators said Macie was last seen in a white 1999 Toyota Camry with North Carolina license plate FHZ-6073.
Deputies said her father, Dominic Antonio Thompson, allegedly took her from a home near Burlington and is believed to be in Durham.
Authorities said Thompson has been charged with felony abduction and misdemeanor child abuse.
Residents in both Alamance and Durham County are urged to be on the lookout and report any information immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing.
