
GEORGIA — A months-long investigation by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of a major alleged drug trafficker at a local hotel.
On Tuesday, the Narcotics Division arrested 45-year-old Roman Kelly at the Quality Inn on Gordon Highway.
Authorities say Kelly was carrying approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.
A search of his hotel room uncovered large quantities of illegal drugs and cash, including:
- Fentanyl: 664.9 grams (1.47 lbs), estimated street value $530,000
- Methamphetamine: 549.2 grams (1.21 lbs), estimated street value $55,000
- Cocaine: 682.5 grams (1.50 lbs), estimated street value $68,000
- Marijuana: 56.7 grams, estimated street value $600
- Cash: $31,224 in U.S. currency
Kelly is charged with trafficking in fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. He is currently being held at the Webster Detention Center.
