GEORGIA — A cyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Claxton, according to authorities.
The crash occurred Saturday on U.S. Highway 301 when the cyclist entered the roadway into the path of an oncoming vehicle, officials said.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the vehicle struck the back tire of the bicycle, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike.
The cyclist was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities said charges are pending as the investigation continues.
