OHIO — A crash involving two semitrailers and four other vehicles closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 270 at U.S. 33 early Wednesday morning, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 6:50 a.m. at the I-270/U.S. 33 split, extending toward Alum Creek Drive.
One of the two semis involved in the crash reportedly jackknifed, though no injuries have been reported.
Officials have not provided an estimate on how long the southbound lanes of I-270 will remain closed.
Additionally, all eastbound lanes of U.S. 33 at I-270 are currently shut down as crews work to clear the scene.
This crash is part of a series of about a dozen accidents reported across central Ohio on Wednesday morning, likely due to heavy traffic and adverse weather conditions.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
