TENNESSEE — A child was hit by a vehicle Monday morning near McMurray Middle School, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Officers responded around 8 a.m. to the intersection of Tusculum Road and Hasty Drive, where a silver SUV had struck a child walking to school.
The child was transported to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police said the incident appears to have been accidental, and no charges against the driver are anticipated.
