FLORIDA — A child was injured Wednesday after being struck by a low-speed vehicle (LSV) on Front Beach Road, according to the Panama City Beach Police Department.
Police said the child and family were crossing the road from Pier Park to the City Pier when the LSV ran a red light and hit the child. Officers confirmed the family had the right of way at the time of the incident.
The child was taken for treatment of injuries, though the extent of those injuries has not been released. Police said the driver of the LSV has been arrested.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
