CLEVELAND — A Cleveland mother’s car was stolen Sunday evening with her eight-year-old son asleep in the back seat, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near E. 38th Street and Cedar Avenue.
The 32-year-old mother told police she was outside the car picking up food when another vehicle pulled up beside hers. She watched as her car was suddenly driven away with her son still inside.
Officers quickly began searching for the stolen vehicle and found it abandoned a few blocks away.
The young boy was located nearby, unharmed.
No arrests have been made in connection with the theft, and police are continuing their investigation.
