LOUISIANA — A hunter made a disturbing discovery Monday morning when he came across a burned body in the Willowbrook neighborhood, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Police say the body was found around 9:36 a.m. in the 14000 block of Michoud Boulevard. Detectives are investigating the case as an unclassified death while they work to determine what happened and how the victim died.
The discovery came just two hours after a separate incident in the same area, where a man was found shot to death. Police say the two cases are not currently believed to be connected but will continue to investigate both incidents.
No additional details about the burned body have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
