OHIO — Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s is set to open this spring near Dayton, with an official grand opening date now announced.

Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore said in a Facebook post that the new Buc-ee’s location will open to the public on April 6 at 6 a.m. The mayor also announced that first responders from the Dayton area will be invited to a sneak preview of the store on April 3.

The travel center is located at the intersection of State Route 235 and Interstate 70 in Huber Heights, a site chosen for its high traffic volume and regional accessibility.

Buc-ee’s is a Texas-based chain of large-format convenience stores, gas stations and mega marts, widely known for their expansive layouts, extensive food and merchandise offerings, clean restrooms and distinctive beaver mascot. The company has developed a strong following as it has expanded beyond its home state into other parts of the country.

Construction on the Ohio location began in August 2024. The upcoming opening marks Buc-ee’s first entry into the Ohio market and is expected to draw visitors from across the region.
