TEXAS — Authorities are investigating after a body was found Tuesday afternoon on the city’s South Side.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called just after 2 p.m. to the 9700 block of Espada Road near Mission Espada Park for a reported dead-on-arrival incident.
Police confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the death have not yet been determined.
Responding officers secured the area, which is described as a wooded location near the park. The San Antonio Fire Department also responded and reported the case as an “obvious DOA.”
Authorities said the scene remains active as investigators continue to gather information.
No additional details, including the identity of the deceased, have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
