KENTUCKY — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the Ohio River Wednesday morning.
According to LMPD spokesman John Bradley, a barge operator reported seeing a body in the water near the Portland Canal around 7 a.m.
Officers and Louisville Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and recovered the body of a deceased man from the river.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
