KENTUCKY — Police are investigating after a body was found in a residential neighborhood in Covington, according to authorities.
Officers with the Covington Police Department said the discovery was reported around 7 p.m. near the 800 block of Crescent Avenue, just one block from Devou Park.
The Kenton County Coroner’s Office was notified shortly after the body was found.
Authorities later identified the victim as 65-year-old Carol Groves of Covington, who had been reported missing in December 2025. Police said the remains were found in a badly decomposed state.
Officials said it remains unclear how Groves died.
The investigation remains ongoing.
