IOWA — Authorities are investigating after a body was found Monday afternoon in Council Bluffs, according to police.
Officers said the man was discovered around 2 p.m. on the west side of Indian Creek, south of Veterans Memorial Highway near Lake Manawa.
According to officials, the body was found by a city Public Works employee who was mowing the creek bank at the time.
Police said the death is not considered suspicious, but the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the man has not been released pending further investigation.
