INDIANA — Police are investigating the death of a man found at a homeless encampment on the southwest side of Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 700 block of S. Tibbs Avenue around 4:39 p.m. on Thursday. When they arrived, they found an adult male deceased with injuries consistent with trauma.
Emergency Medical Services responded but pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives have launched an investigation, and the Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine the exact cause and manner of death.
