GEORGIA — A death investigation is underway after a body was discovered in Albany on Tuesday morning, according to officials.
Michael Fowler, the Dougherty County Coroner’s Office, said the body was found in the 1800 block of North Maple Street. Fowler stated that the death is believed to be from natural causes and that no foul play is suspected at this time.
Officials said a toxicology report will be conducted to confirm the cause of death and support the preliminary findings. No additional details about the individual were released.
The incident occurred in Albany, and the investigation remains ongoing pending the results of the toxicology report.
