NORTH CAROLINA — Chapel Hill police are investigating after a dead body was discovered Thursday morning on West Franklin Street.
At 11:10 a.m., a police officer on foot patrol found the body in the 300 block of W. Franklin St., an area known for its shops and restaurants frequented by students, locals, and visitors. Authorities have not said whether anyone else witnessed the discovery.
The man’s cause of death is currently unknown and will be determined by the medical examiner.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
