Bicyclist injured after being struck by vehicle in Ohio

OHIO — A bicyclist was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon following a crash involving a vehicle in Boardman.

The incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Rockdale and Amherst avenues.

According to authorities, a vehicle collided with a male bicyclist, who was then transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.

Police said the bicyclist was unable to speak with investigators at the scene due to his condition.

However, the driver of the vehicle involved is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the crash.
