
SOUTH CAROLINA — A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in York County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 10 p.m. on March 31 along Highway 274 near Ross Brook Trace in York.
According to investigators, a northbound Jeep Cherokee struck the bicyclist from behind.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities said no charges have been filed at this time, and the victim’s identity has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
