KENTUCKY — A 62-year-old Leitchfield man was killed Monday evening after being struck by a box truck while riding his bicycle, authorities said.
Bobby W. Basham was traveling south in the 2500 block of Brandenburg Road around 7:30 p.m. when the collision occurred, according to the Grayson County Coroner’s Office. Coroner Kevin Pharis pronounced Basham dead at the scene.
Leitchfield Fire Chief told K105 that Basham was not wearing reflectors and his bicycle did not have active reflectors.
The crash was responded to by the Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Grayson County Emergency Management, and EMS. The investigation is ongoing and being led by the Leitchfield Police Department.
