FLORIDA — A baby girl has died after being left inside a car in Winter Haven, according to authorities.
Officials said the child was under the care of her grandmother at the time of the incident, which happened Tuesday.
Police and fire crews in Winter Haven responded around 3:50 p.m. to a home on Avenue North Northwest.
First responders began life-saving measures on the infant at the scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital. Authorities said the child later died.
No arrests have been made, and officials have not released the child’s identity.
The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
