Ambulance involved in multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 224 in Ohio

OHIO — Multiple vehicles, including an ambulance, were involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon on a busy Boardman road.

The crash occurred in the area of US-224 and Trenholm Road.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Lane’s ambulance was heading westbound on US-224 with its lights and sirens activated when an SUV made a left-hand turn in front of it.

The ambulance collided with the SUV, and another vehicle was also involved in the crash.

The ambulance sustained front-end damage, but no patients were inside at the time of the accident.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
