COLUMBUS — An Amber Alert has been issued statewide for 13-year-old Makenzie Hall, who was reported missing from Columbus, Ohio, in the early hours of November 8, 2024.
Makenzie is described as a white female, 5’7” tall, weighing 115 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing a dark grey hoodie, white shoes, and carrying a pink backpack.
Authorities have identified Shane Steven Smith, 48, as the primary suspect in her disappearance. Smith is a white male, 5’11” tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
The suspect is believed to be driving a white 2004 Ford Ranger with Ohio license plate HRW1901.
Makenzie was last seen on South Huron Avenue in Columbus, in Franklin County. Police believe she may be in immediate danger.
Anyone who sees Makenzie, the suspect, or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately.
