MICHIGAN — The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Detroit Field Division released its 2025 seizure statistics, highlighting enforcement efforts aimed at disrupting drug trafficking organizations and protecting communities across Michigan, Ohio, and northern Kentucky.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration Detroit Field Division, agents seized significant quantities of illegal drugs throughout 2025, including 147 kilograms of fentanyl, 432 kilograms of counterfeit pills, 1,658 kilograms of cocaine, and 1,054 kilograms of methamphetamine.
In addition to drug seizures, the division reported the confiscation of 324 firearms and more than $17 million in cash and assets. Authorities said 950 arrests were made as part of these enforcement efforts.
“Every kilogram of fentanyl we seize represents lives saved,” said Joseph O. Dixon, special agent in charge of the DEA Detroit Field Division. “These enforcement actions are about protecting American families, disrupting the criminal networks that profit from addiction, and advancing our mission of a fentanyl-free America.”
The enforcement activity supports the Fentanyl Free America campaign, which focuses on both enforcement and public education to address the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills.
The DEA encourages the public to learn more about the risks associated with fentanyl and counterfeit drugs by visiting the agency’s website.
