OHIO — A 77-year-old Ashland woman died Thursday evening in a crash on U.S. Route 42 that shut down the highway for about three hours, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Gail Moore was pronounced dead at the scene after her maroon 2003 Honda CRV struck the rear of a blue 2022 Peterbilt semi-truck and flatbed trailer.
The crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. near state Route 603.
Authorities said the semi-truck, driven by a man from Noblesville, Indiana, was turning left from a private drive onto U.S. Route 42 when the collision happened.
The truck driver was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The crash remains under investigation.
