68 arrested in “Operation Clean Sweep” across Ohio

OHIO — A multi-agency law enforcement operation has resulted in the arrest of 68 individuals with felony warrants across Northeast Ohio.

The effort, dubbed “Operation Clean Sweep,” took place between November 17 and December 20, 2024.

The operation targeted suspects charged with serious crimes, including murder, aggravated robbery, rape, drug trafficking, and other offenses.

Law enforcement also recovered 20 firearms during the arrests.

The operation spanned multiple cities in the region, including Cleveland, Akron, Canton, East Cleveland, Strongsville, and Parma Heights.

The final phase of the operation concluded Tuesday with the arrest of eight individuals. The U.S. Marshals and FBI assisted in this final round-up.
