$500,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio this week

OHIO — A lottery player recently struck gold with the Ohio Lottery’s Lady Luck 100X scratch-off, winning a $1,000,000 prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Midway Marathon, located at 2822 Dayton-Germantown Pike in Germantown.

Opting for the cash option, the lucky winner will receive $500,000 before taxes. After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28%, the winner’s final payout will be approximately $360,000.

The Lady Luck 100X scratch-off game costs $20 and features a top prize of $40,000 per year for 25 years. As of December 17, one top prize remains in the game.

Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education.
