$500,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player has claimed the $500,000 top prize on the “Home for the Holidays” scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky Choice, located at 577 W Nationwide Blvd Suite 202 in Columbus.

After deductions for mandatory state and federal taxes, totaling 28%, the winner will receive approximately $360,000.

“Home for the Holidays” is a $10 scratch-off game with a $500,000 top prize. As of December 12, four top prizes remain available in the game.

The Ohio Lottery has been a significant supporter of education, contributing more than $32 billion to Ohio schools since its inception in 1974.
