$500,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

MILFORD — A lucky lottery player in Milford has struck gold, winning $500,000 after playing the Ohio Lottery’s Gem 10s scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was purchased at Meijer Inc #157, located at 1082 State Route 28 in Milford.

After mandatory state and federal taxes, totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $360,000.

Gem 10s is a $10 scratch-off game with a top prize of $500,000.

According to the Ohio Lottery, as of November 18, two top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.

Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $32 billion to education.
