OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player from Atwater has struck it rich, winning the top prize on the VIP Millions scratch-off ticket.

The player opted for the $500,000 cash payout instead of the annuity option of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

After taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home $360,000.

The winning ticket was sold at Grace Energy LLC, located at 1497 State Route 44 in Randolph.

VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game from the Ohio Lottery. As of May 21, 35 top prizes still remain in the game.
