TEXAS — A Powerball ticket sold in Texas won $50,000 in Saturday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials.
The drawing was held Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, and the winning numbers were 5, 8, 27, 49, 57, with a Powerball of 14. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 4x. The Texas ticket matched enough numbers to earn the $50,000 prize.
Lottery officials have not yet announced where in Texas the winning ticket was sold. Winners are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Texas Lottery to begin the prize claim process.
No ticket matched all six numbers, so the jackpot rolled over. The estimated jackpot for the next Powerball drawing now stands at $193 million, with a cash value of $87.9 million.
Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Texas Lottery officials remind players that all prizes must be claimed within the timeframe established by state law.
