$50,000 Powerball ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — One lucky Ohio player won $50,000 in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, lottery officials announced.

The ticket matched four of the five winning numbers plus the Powerball. The winning numbers were 3, 18, 22, 27 and 33, with the Powerball 17.

While the Ohio ticket secured a substantial prize, no one hit the jackpot, which had climbed to $1 billion.

The jackpot now rises to an estimated $1.1 billion for the next drawing on Monday, Sept. 1.

Players are encouraged to check their tickets and play responsibly.
