NORTH CAROLINA — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office announced that 33 people have been arrested and 21 others remain wanted following a large-scale narcotics operation aimed at curbing drug activity in the county.

Sheriff Darren Campbell said the effort was the result of several months of investigations targeting individuals involved in the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. Deputies sought a total of 54 suspects on a range of felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

“Every one of these individuals either sold narcotics directly to undercover law enforcement officers, facilitated the sale of controlled substances, or possessed controlled substances in the presence of law enforcement,” Campbell said. He added that the operation demonstrates the county’s “zero tolerance for those who wish to profit from and commit crimes against our citizens,” noting that investigators remain committed to dismantling drug networks and reducing violence tied to narcotics.

Anyone with information on the remaining wanted individuals is encouraged to submit anonymous tips through the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office mobile app.
