
ARKANSAS — A multi-jurisdictional drug task force serving five counties in Arkansas reported seizing drugs and firearms and making dozens of arrests during a three-month enforcement period.
According to a report released Friday, the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG) conducted both covert and overt narcotics investigations from Jan. 1 through March 31, 2026.
The task force operates across Webster, Laclede, Pulaski, Crawford and Gasconade counties, as well as several cities including Lebanon, Dixon, Richland, Bourbon, Cuba, Steelville, Owensville and Hermann. The group is supported by personnel from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and local sheriff’s offices.
During the three-month period, authorities reported seizing 438 grams of methamphetamine, 38 grams of fentanyl and 17 doses of prescription narcotics. Investigators also recovered three firearms.
Officials said the task force executed 18 search warrants and conducted 13 consent searches, resulting in 32 arrests on drug-related charges. Additional arrests included two for felon in possession of a firearm, one for possession of stolen property and three on outstanding warrants.
The task force serves an estimated population of about 142,000 residents.
Authorities said enforcement efforts remain ongoing.
