$300,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky lottery player in Middletown has won the top prize of $300,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s Special Edition Cashwordscratch-off.

The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway #5405, located at 461 Oxford State Road in Middletown.

After federal and state taxes, the winner will take home approximately $216,000.

Special Edition Cashword is a $5 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $300,000.

As of March 4, 2025, one top prize remains unclaimed.
