24-year-old dead following vehicle crash in Indiana

INDIANA — A Scott County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene just before 7 p.m. on State Road 356 near State Road 203, where they found a vehicle that had crashed into a tree and caught fire.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Kyle Hauge of Scottsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said witness statements and video footage indicated Hauge was speeding before the crash, and impairment may have been a factor.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Scott County Sheriff’s Office at 812-752-5550.
