TENNESSEE — A months-long undercover drug investigation in Warren County has resulted in the indictment of 24 people, with 16 suspects already in custody, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said undercover deputies spent several months working to identify individuals involved in the sale of illegal drugs throughout the county. Investigators determined that 24 people were connected to the distribution of fentanyl, methamphetamine and prescription medications.
On Feb. 6, the Warren County Grand Jury returned indictments against the suspects. Sixteen of those individuals have since been arrested and booked into the Warren County Jail. The remaining eight suspects are still being sought.
Those arrested include:
Hunter Coy Locke
Tony Lee Brakeall
David Jamar Harlan
Robert Alexander Russell
Willie Michael Richardson
Cameron Allen Gilespie
Madison Paige Spangler
Kyle Dennis McCool
Tiffany Kay Layman
Sharon Elaine Cantrell
Travis Ray Gipson
Tina Lynn Ledbetter Jennings
Stefan Ray Ward
Glenn Lee Jennings
Jordan Leann Ross
Teddy Lee Dodd
Sheriff Jackie Matheny said undercover operations are among the most effective tools law enforcement uses to identify people actively selling drugs.
“These investigations allow us to gather solid evidence, identify suppliers and build cases that result in arrests and successful prosecutions,” Matheny said. “Illegal drugs destroy lives, tear families apart and fuel violent crime — and for this reason, we will continue to aggressively investigate drug trafficking at every level and hold those responsible accountable.”
Authorities said efforts to locate and arrest the remaining suspects are ongoing.
