OHIO — A 22-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning in Brown County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP).
Troopers said the crash happened along State Route 125 in Jefferson Township. A Rumpke driver discovered the body along the roadway and called 911.
OSP determined the victim, identified as Caleb Holbert of Russellville, was struck by a vehicle that left the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said a Ford vehicle part was found nearby, and the suspect vehicle may be of that make.
State Route 125 remains closed as the crash investigation continues. The Ohio Department of Transportation has set up detours in the area.
