PENNSYLVANIA — A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday night in Juniata County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers responded to the scene around 7:32 p.m. on May 15 along Licking Creek Road in Milford Township.
The victim, identified as Yaniel Ortiz Maldonado of Port Royal, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Maldonado was riding a Suzuki sport motorcycle northbound when he lost control, crossed into the opposite lane, and began skidding.
A southbound driver attempted to swerve onto the shoulder to avoid the motorcycle, but was unable to do so.
The motorcycle continued for approximately 200 feet before coming to a stop.
Following the crash, Licking Creek Road was closed between Stetler Road and Muddy Run Road. The Mifflintown Hose Company reported that Muddy Run Road has since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
