NORTH CAROLINA — Police have identified the man killed and the passenger injured in an early morning motorcycle crash Saturday.
Officers responded shortly after 3 a.m. to a crash at the intersection of Person Street and Old Wilmington Road. Investigators said 21-year-old Jackson Corum was driving a Honda motorcycle on Person Street when he struck the traffic circle. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he later died.
Police said Corum’s passenger, 20-year-old Jasmine Islam, was also injured but is expected to recover.
