
PENNSYLVANIA — A 21-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, authorities said.
State Police reported that the incident occurred near mile marker 14 in the eastbound lanes of the Turnpike. Khalil Mutadabur was walking in the opposite direction in the lane when he was hit.
One lane of the Turnpike was closed for several hours while emergency responders worked at the scene. That lane has since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation by state authorities.
