OHIO — An Ohio lottery player is holding a winning Mega Millions ticket after Friday night’s drawing.
According to the Mega Millions, one ticket sold in Ohio matched four of the five winning numbers along with the Megaball, earning a $20,000 prize after the Megaplier doubled the winnings.
The winning numbers drawn Friday night were 30, 42, 49, 53 and 66, with a Megaball of 4. No ticket matched all six numbers needed to claim the jackpot.
Because there was no jackpot winner, the top prize continues to grow. The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27, with an estimated jackpot of $285 million.
Lottery officials encourage players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back of any winning ticket before claiming a prize.
