OHIO — The Akron Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that left a 20-year-old woman dead early Monday morning.
Officers responded to the 400 block of Stanton Avenue around 5:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting, police said.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are handling the investigation, which remains in its early stages, according to police.
