OHIO — A Newark, Ohio resident is celebrating a major lottery win after claiming the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $2,000,000 Cash Blast scratch-off ticket.
The winner, identified only as Dave, won a $2 million prize, paid as $80,000 per year for 25 years.
However, he chose the lump sum cash option of $1 million.
After state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, he will receive $720,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Jefferson Woods Duchess #1201, located at 900 N 21st St. in Newark.
$2,000,000 Cash Blast is a $20 scratch-off game with a top prize of $2 million.
As of February 13, three top prizes remain unclaimed.
