OHIO — A Cuyahoga Falls man is celebrating a life-changing win after purchasing a $30 Cashword scratch-off ticket. The ticket, bought on his way home from work, revealed a top prize of $80,000 per year for 25 years, totaling $2 million.
The winner scratched off all 14 words on the ticket while sitting in his car. Initially confused by the missing $80,000 figure on the payout list, he attempted to verify the win using a mobile app, but it failed. After scanning the ticket at multiple locations, he realized he had indeed won.
He chose the lump-sum cash option and will receive $728,750 after state and federal taxes of 27.125 percent. The winner said he plans to pay off debt, invest, and take a family vacation.
The winning ticket was purchased at GET GO #3036, located at 2816 State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. Cashword tickets offer multiple ways to win, with over $93 million in total cash prizes. As of November 13, 2025, three top prizes and 14 second-tier prizes of $100,000 remain, with overall odds of winning at 1 in 3.37.
