$2 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A winning $30 Royal Riches scratch-off ticket worth a $2-million annuity top prize was sold at the Village Drive Thru in Ripley.

The winner, who has not been publicly identified, selected the annuity option, which will pay $80,000 a year for 25 years before federal and state taxes.

As of Sept. 12, five top prizes remain in the Royal Riches game, along with other cash prizes. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 500,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.95.

Village Drive Thru, located at 15 South 2nd Street, will receive a $20,000 sales bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Since its start in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to support education across the state. More information can be found at www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
