OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian Sunday morning in Harmony Township near Springfield.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on East National Road shortly before 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14. Troopers said a vehicle traveling westbound struck a 19-year-old male and fled the scene without stopping.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately released.
Investigators said evidence collected at the scene indicates the vehicle involved may be a silver Hyundai Sonata, possibly a model year between 2006 and 2010.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have information about the vehicle or driver involved to contact the OSP Springfield Post at 937-323-9781.
