TENNESSEE — The Metro Nashville Police Department has identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday morning as 19-year-old Daniel Poole of Orlinda, Tennessee.
The crash occurred in the 1500 block of Gallatin Pike North.
According to police, Poole was riding his Harley-Davidson southbound when a Honda Accord sideswiped him while attempting to cross the roadway into the Pep Boys parking lot.
After being struck, Poole slid into the northbound lane and was hit by two additional vehicles. He was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he later died.
MNPD officials said none of the drivers involved showed signs of impairment.
Investigators believe the crash was caused by the Honda driver’s failure to yield.
